Hello!

My name is Rianna and I am thrilled to welcome you to my page!

As an experienced educator with a passion for nurturing young minds, I've dedicated my career to helping children reach their full potential.

Since 2018, I've served as a classroom teacher after earning my PGCE in Primary Teaching. My academic foundation includes a BA Honours degree in Criminology, which has given me a unique perspective on understanding behaviour and motivation—skills I've found invaluable in my teaching practice. Whilst working in local primary schools, I have successfully held may different positions as well as class teacher, including: head of year, international schools lead, computing lead, history and geography lead as well as supporting the maths and English team in my most recent school.

For the past five years, I've provided personalised tutoring both online and in person, working with a diverse range of students across different learning needs. I have supported children from Key Stage One to Key Stage Three in both maths and English.

My greatest joy comes from witnessing children's "lightbulb moments"—those instances when a child shows understanding and the information just ‘clicks!’ causing confidence to bloom. I firmly believe that every child has incredible potential waiting to be unlocked, and I'm committed to helping each student discover their own path to success.

Throughout my teaching career, I've worked with children at various points in their learning journey. I've supported students who needed extra help to grasp challenging concepts and meet their year group's expected standards. Equally, I've guided high-achieving students to deepen their understanding, develop critical thinking skills, and build impressive work portfolios that showcase their capabilities.

What sets my approach apart is my recognition that children learn differently and at their own pace. This understanding has inspired me to create learning programmes that accommodate various learning styles—whether your child is visual, auditory, kinesthetic, or a combination of these. My flexible teaching methods ensure that every child receives instruction tailored to how they learn best.

Recently, I made the decision to step away from classroom teaching to focus on raising my family while developing my personalised teaching programmes. This transition has allowed me to create a better work-life balance while still pursuing my passion for education.

When I'm not tutoring, you'll find me enjoying long walks with my dog, visiting local zoos (a favorite weekend activity!), maintaining an active lifestyle at the gym, or simply treasuring quality time with my family. I'm also an avid reader, constantly exploring new books that expand my knowledge and inspire fresh teaching approaches.

I look forward to meeting you and your child, and discussing how we can work together to support their learning journey!
