Number Power:

LKS2 Maths Fundamental Skills

Number Power is an engaging online learning programme designed specifically for Year 3 and Year 4 pupils, focusing on the fundamental mathematics skills they need before progressing confidently to UKS2.

This programme will support children to develop confidence and competence in:

  • Master addition and subtraction strategies using mental methods and column methods with increasingly larger numbers.

  • Learn multiplication facts, times tables, and related division facts using various visual models.

  • Explore unit and non-unit fractions, equivalence, and comparing fractions through interactive pizza, chocolate bars and number line challenges.

  • Learn about pounds and pence, making change, and solving real-world money problems.

  • Conquer telling the time, duration, and time problems using digital and analogue clocks.

The programme aligns with the National Curriculum requirements for Lower Key Stage 2 Maths, ensuring children build the solid foundation needed for success in Years 5 and 6.

I understand that every child has unique learning needs and styles. That's why I take the time to tailor each lesson to suit your child's individual requirements. Whether they need a little extra help with maths, English, or reading, I create fun and interactive lessons that challenge and interest them.

Learning from the comfort of their own home has never been easier! Sessions will be run using an online platform that is user-friendly and is equipped with all the tools necessary for a productive lesson, from shared screens for interactive activities to virtual whiteboards that bring subjects to life. Plus, your child will gain confidence in their ability to learn independently, an invaluable skill as they progress through school.

I pride myself on my friendly and relaxed approach, ensuring that every student feels comfortable and excited about their learning journey. I am passionate about creating engaging and enjoyable lessons that inspire a love for learning. One off Sessions

Personalised hour-long 1:1 online tutoring session -  focusing on primary age - national curriculum.

I cover various subjects tailored to your child's individual needs, ensuring a fun and engaging learning environment.

These sessions serve as a great taster before committing to long-term tuition, helping your child build confidence and understanding at their own pace. 

Weekly Sessions

Personalised hour long 1:1 online tutoring sessions - support tailored to your child’s unique learning needs. Each weekly session builds upon the previous week, ensuring continuity and progression. Following the national curriculum, I engage students in a relaxed and friendly manner, making learning both enjoyable and effective. At the end of each session, I provide feedback to help students and parents understand the progress made in each session.

Additionally, a homework task is available on request and small additional fee to consolidate learning.

Multiple Weekly Sessions

Personalised 1:1 tutoring sessions that are designed specifically for primary school students, following the national curriculum to help them excel in their studies. We understand that every child learns differently, which is why I offer flexible scheduling options. While weekly hour-long sessions are standard, I can offer more frequent sessions, such as two hours a week, to provide additional support and boost confidence in key subjects.
